All of Borsalino Straw hats are made of fine straw hand-woven in Ecuador and blocked and trimmed in Italy by second and third generation hat makers. Many of these hats take from 4-6 weeks to weave and the finest Montecristi straw hats by Borsalino can take up to EIGHT MONTHS to hand weave before taking a boat ride to Italy where they touch dozens of hands before the final product is packed and shipped to us.
